September 2017 Lip Monthly Subscription Review
I've decided just to try out as many subscription boxes as I can. I love when I can find a good coupon code and I found one to get this september lip monthly bag at only $5! At so little it was definitely worth a chance. I actually don't normally wear lipstick but I've decided this is the year to try new things. Lip makeup is high on this list. I really love subscription boxes, I love getting mail and it's the best way to make sure I'm getting to experience new things regularly.
My bag came sometime around the 20th. I didn't receive any tracking or notification. So it was a surprise when it finally showed up in the mail. The first thing I saw after opening the package was the gel mask since it didn't fit in the little bag they send you.
I was really excited to see this Coconut Gel Mask with Tomato From Leaders, also a little confused since this technically has nothing to do with lip products. This is a Naturally Fermented Premium Coconut Gel Mask that is supposed to restore youthful resilience, hydrate & strengthen skin, and is bursting with antioxidants. I've been seeing these masks everywhere and have been wanting to try one. I will be trying this and reviewing it soon. This mask is valued at $6.
The first thing that I actually pulled out of the cute little teal & white bag was this Bang Beauty Lip Gloss in Rosie. This is a barbie hot pink, it's not something I would wear and doesn't look good with my skin color. My 12 year old loved this the second she saw it and begged if she could have it. I will say though, this lipgloss feels moisturizing and does not feel sticky one bit. This lipgloss retails for $18
The next thing I pulled out was this Kiss & Smink Everything lip & cheek stick. I got the color Santorini, which is kind of like a shimmery salmon color. This was the color option I chose. You get to choose the color of one of your lip products. They give you two color choices or you can select surprise me. I don't really care for everything sticks. This does feel moisturizing and I do like the color but it doesn't really match with my skin tone, but this does blend easily. This everything stick retails for $20
The last thing in my bag was this Sorme Liner in Natural Nude 7. I love nude colors and i'm sure this will pair well with lots of colors and looks good even alone. I paired this with the kiss and smink everything stick and I liked it well enough. This is a smear proof liner and it lasted a few hours before I needed to reapply. This would be great for a time I wont need something with staying power. This Sorme Liner retails for $13.
After opening my bag I decided to cancel my lip monthly subscription. This is a great subscription for people who love trying different and bold lip colors. This is definitely not me. I also feel like this is maybe geared toward women in their 20's and younger. At 5 dollars I do feel like I got more than my money's worth, even at $12.95 I would have felt like I got my moneys worth. Your first bag is always $5 they offer it at sign up. It's really easy to cancel, If your unsure I would say go for it. You never know you might like it. It's very affordable if you find its something you enjoy. It's always nice to get a monthly surprise in the mail.
