March 2018 Simply Earth Recipe Box + First Big Bonus Box Review

by - March 24, 2018

This post is so late, I've had so much going on and it just kept getting put on the back burner. Life with six kids is always chaotic and unpredictable. I love this subscription box because it always offers me scents to help boost my energy, to relax myself and my children, and joy when I get to try new things from them. Out of all the subscription boxes I receive this is by far my favorite and most used box.

I'm so happy to have finally gotten my first big bonus box. I'm excited to see what Simply Earth has planned with there new bonus box and recipe boxes.  I love that things just keep getting better and better.

This month's Box was beautiful I love this blue color and the simple design that Simply Earth uses. This months recipe box came inside this beautiful big blue bonus box. For those who haven't heard of Simply Earth's Monthly Recipe Box is 39.99 a month, every month you will receive 4 essential oils, 5-7 recipes and extras. Every six months you will receive a Big BonusBox that includes a carrier oil, a hard oil, beeswax, and all the containers to get you through the next 6 Recipe boxes. You can Sign up for this months recipe box until the last day of the month. This box is perfect for people who are looking to get into essential oils and are trying to grow their essential oil stash. The monthly recipe box has a value of 150+ compared to what the big name essential oil companies charge. Which is amazing. Simply Earth is about providing people with high quality essential oils without the big mark up prices that other companies charge.

If you use the code: GOTTOTRYITMOMFREE
at check out you will receive a big bonus box and a $20 Gift Card sent via email after you subscribe. You can subscribe to the monthly recipe box HERE

In this Big Bonus Box we recieved an 8 oz Coconut Oil for our Hard Oil valued at $8. I really love how thorough Simply Earth is on their labels, they let you know that the aroma of the coconut oil is odorless, the consistency is slightly greasy, and notes on absorption as well as suggested uses. We received 4oz of Almond Oil for our carrier Oil valued at $8 and the promised Beeswax pellets which are also valued at $8.

We Received 6 roll ons valued at $8 which is about a dollar more than what you can find them on amazon for. We also received six 5ml bottles for making blends these are valued at $6 which is cheaper than what I could find on amazon. We also received a 2oz? dropper bottle, I'm not positive but it's included as an extra container.

We received two aluminum spray bottles valued at $5, three inhalers valued at $5, four chapstick containers, a 4 oz plastic dispensing and flip top bottles which are valued in the extra container category.

Lastly we received a salve container, a large glass container, a smaller plastic container and 2 mini plastic containers all stated as "extra containers" valued at $10. I get so excited looking at these containers and trying to guess all the things we will be making.

Here is a look at everything we received in this months recipe box. We've got our 4 Essential Oils, a beautiful tassel necklace with a stamped metal disk that says " world changer" with a terra-cotta bead that can be scented, stickers to label our products, and our 6 recipe cards.

I love all the essential oils in this months recipe box but I really enjoyed the smell of "Love".  Love has a floral earthy scent and is perfect for setting the mood throughout your home it creates and relaxing and sensual atmosphere. The box states its therapeutic properties are CNS sedative, cooling and skin healing. I will be wearing this in my diffuser necklace, it will be perfect for date nights.

I was happy to see Lavender in this months box I just ran out and Lavender is an essential oil must have. Most know lavender for its relaxing and calming abilities but it is also good for hydrating and nourishing the scalp. I love that on the back of all of simply earths bottles they tell you what part of the plant the oil comes from, the origin, ingredients and the aroma of the oil inside. Their boxes also contain uses and therapeutic properties.

The blood orange was another welcomed scent this month. I love blood orange drinks so I was excited to see this. Mine spilled a little during shipping so it was the scent that greeted me when I opened my box. This oil is a deep orange and does stain your skin and I'm sure clothing, it took a few washing to get this off my fingers. Blood Orange can be used to treat skin infections and as an effective natural cleaner. This would smell so lovely in a cleaner I will be adding this to my vinegar cleaner from now on.

Cardamom was another surprised welcome in my box. I love the sweet and spicy smell of Cardamom. It's been used for centuries to help treat fever and digestive tract problems. It's said to help as a antispasmodic, diuretic, antiseptic, aphrodisiac and is antimicrobial.

The recipes this month were very useful ones, I don't always use all of my recipes but I know this month I will be making all of these. I've already made the three blends. I look forward to using the Laundry Scent Booster, it will go well with my lavender grapefruit laundry detergent. I plan on making the winter lip balm with my daughters they enjoying making things like this as much as I do. I really love that each month the recipe cards have a different print on them to match the theme. It makes it so much easier to go through them and find the recipe I am looking for. I keep all my recipes in the kitchen in my food recipe box.

At first I wasn't sure how I felt about this tassel necklace. The one I received is white but it has the slightest tinge of blue in it and I really love that. I love stamped jewelry. I love the energizing jewelry blend that they created for it, it smells amazing. I have been wearing this necklace everyday now and I've come to really love it. It goes with everything!

This is the second month now that they have sent these sticked labels. They are beautiful and easy to cut out. I already bought the simply earth labels for my bottles so I keep these for when I've used those up but it's helpful to be able to beautiful label my creations and blends. These are really high quality labels and a definite step up from the plan brown typed labels the sent to label blends. Now the send labels for jars and lip balm tubes.

I have never been disappointed in my simply earth box and I recommend them to all my friends and families that I know will be interested. They are a great brand and have high quality essential oils. I love that 13% of their profits goes to help end human trafficking. It is a big problem in our world and few people are aware of how big of a problem it is. This box is still available until the last day of the month and then you will receive the April box. I love that they make their boxes available all month. They do not do pre-orders so if you don't want this box and want the April box do not subscribe until April. You can check out their website here:
