Three Compartment Glass Meal Prep Containers

by - December 19, 2017

I try to live as plastic free as possible, which if you really think about it is almost impossible. Everything is made from some form of plastic, it's everywhere! I have been searching for a meal prep container like this for awhile. The stainless steel ones are so very pricey, but these glass was a very well priced. At just $21 for all three you really can't go wrong.

I love that even though these are made of glass they don't feel too heavy. It would be nice if they could make a type of silicone skin for them to color code them and to protect them. I like the 2" depth the compartments they are a great size. The Container is leak proof but since the dividers of the compartments don't reach the top, juices from other compartments can slosh around into each other. These meal prep containers are freezer, microwave, and oven safe but their lids are not, but both lid and container are dishwasher safe. I like that they have utensils available on the lid in their own cute little compartment, I don't use plastic utensils myself but I know my husband will use these since his only other option are plastic work utensils which are not as well made as these ones are. Ideally I would have a bamboo set of reusable utensils that can fit in here or some stainless steel ones.

I am hoping these hold up well because when the new year comes and I start thinking about getting fit and healthy again these will definitely come in handy and I will need more. It's great that these are so affordable, and they stack well together. I do think it's a little odd that they don't recommend freezing with the lid on.
