Simply Earth December Recipe Box

by - December 04, 2017

I'm so excited to share my latest obsession with you. I've probably mentioned already that I am obsessed with subscription boxes, well I'm also obsessed with being as green and natural as possible too. I've been trying to really get into the essential oil thing for a few years now and the heavy price tag they carry really have held me back from really getting to explore this natural way of life. Well a few months ago I came across Simply Earth, they too hated the hit their wallets took buying essential oils from the big name brands. Simply Earth brings you top quality essential oils for 1/2 the price by sourcing essential oils from farms that grow them best all over the world and bottling them in house to insure quality, they also double test to ensure their oils are pesticide free and pure. Simply pure has a monthly recipe box that contains 4 essential oils, 6-7 recipes to use them, and extras to make them. It costs $39 a month, which is a steal if you ask me. Check out their site HERE and you can see some of their past boxes also. This December box is my 3rd box so far and I have been absolutely thrilled so far. I love when they are themed like the last three months have been.

So here is everything I received in my December box. This months box is Christmas themed it came with 4 essential oils, 5 recipes, 2- 5 ml bottles to mix up the diffuser recipe blends, a container for the lip scrub recipe, a bath bomb mold for another recipe and 4 oz of sweet almond oil. Can you believe you can get all of this for only $39!! I will be doing a separate post for some of the recipes they included. The December box will be available to purchase until the end of the month.
Use my code: GOTTOTRYITMOMFREE to get a $40 gift card emailed to you after signing up for your 1st monthly recipe box. Now on to the essential oils.

The first essential oil we received was Fir Needle. On the Side of the box it states the aroma: fresh, woody, sharp, and crisp. Uses; it says it can be diffused as a powerful deodorizer and relaxing agent, and that it can be applied topically for pain relief or added to homemade cleansers. It also states its therapeutic properties and a QR code to recipes that can be found on the simply earth site. Fir Needle Retails for 9.99.

Pine Scotch has a woody and fresh evergreen scent, diffuse this and get the Christmas tree smell even if yours isn't real.  Pine scotch can repel insects and used as an air freshener when diffused, it can also be blended with massage oil to soothe muscles. Pine Scotch retails for 8.95.

Who doesn't enjoy the sweet and spicy aroma of Cinnamon. Its great to diffuse cinnamon if you have a stuffed and/or runny nose. It is also great for soothing itchy bug bites. Cinnamon retails for 8.99

Last in the box was peppermint, I'm so glad we were given this one because I just ran out of the peppermint I was given. I love the sweet minty scent of peppermint we've been diffusing it a lot lately. It has so many uses. I love using it in the morning with orange or mandarin and lemon or lime to help me focus and wake up in the morning. Peppermint retails for 8.99.

I love that they also include their carrier oils when they send out recipes that call for them. This month we were given sweet almond oil to use with the lip scrub and bath bombs. This is way more than we need for the recipes so that's always great. This 4 oz almond oil retails for 7.99.

Just the oils alone come to $44.91 and that's not including the bath bomb mold, recipe cards and 3 containers. It even ships free! Also I love that 13% of all orders made goes to helping end human trafficking.
