Simply Earth January 2018 Recipe Box

by - January 14, 2018

I know I'm a little late on this, my new years was rung in with a horrible tooth infection and more recently extraction. Hopefully the rest of my year goes more smoothly (fingers crossed). I was so pleased with this months box, though I can't lie I've been pleased with all my boxes so far. I love getting new essential oils and new recipes. Most the recipes have been something that I was interested in so it's always a positive experience for me. This month's box theme was beauty.

Simply Earth  Recipe Subscription Box is a monthly essential oil subscription you get 4 essential oils, 5-7 recipe cards, and extras to go with the recipes. It's 39.99 a month. You can subscribe HERE and if you use the code: GOTTOTRYITMOMFREE at check out you will receive a $40 Gift Card in your email after you subscribe to their monthly recipe box.

This months recipe box came with Angelica Root, Bergamont, Geranium, and Fit (Curb Hunger) Essential Oils. The Extra's Included 4 oz Camellia Seed Oil, a packet of bentonite clay,  a 5 ml empty bottle, and 3 amber roll on bottles.

I love that every month they print their recipes on thick card stock and have different designs. On one side we have recipes for a Mud Mask, a wrinkle away roll on, and a grounding and energizing blend. I really enjoyed the Grounding and Energizing blend I had it running this morning, the geranium is very overpowering and strong and took some getting use to for me, but I really enjoy it. I also used the recipe for the mud mask and it's a keeper the Bergamont has such a wonderful lemony scent.

My husband and I love doing face masks together every so often, this mask made us feel like mud monsters. The boys said I looked like a swamp monster so I had fun chasing them through the house as I waited for my mask to dry. This mask uses honey and I usually don't like the sticky feeling but I didn't have that problem with this mask. It felt nice and cool and citrusy. It left my face bright and polished and feeling refreshed.

On the other side we got Bye Bye Eye Bags Roll On, Oatmeal Milk Bath, and Fit Roll on recipes. When I first opened this box the first thing I did was put together the Fit Roll On recipe to curb hunger. I haven't gotten a chance to use it yet since I had my tooth extracted and haven't been to hungry, but I'm really excited to give this a try once I'm completely healed and start working on dropping a few pounds.

This month's box was a great beginning for this new year and a great help for those of us who start every new year saying we are going to finally take care of our skin and bodies. The 4 essential oils this month cost $51.96 all together which is a great value compared to the $39.99 the box costs and that's not even including the extras. I love Simply Earth and how they value making essential oils affordable and available to families who want a less toxic home and life without breaking the bank. Also we can't forget that 13% of profits go to helping end human trafficking.
