Offernova 100% Pure Castor Oil

by - January 03, 2018

I've been working on building up my stash of essential oils and carrier oils lately so that I can work on having a more natural and non toxic household and make more natural beauty products for myself and my family. Castor oil is most known for its ability to help grow hair and eyelashes. I will be trying this later to see if it actually works but I've had the flu since I got this so I haven't had the energy to try this out yet.

This Castor Oil from Offernova Essentials claims to be 100% pure and Organic but it doesn't have a USDA Organic seal. It's Cold Pressed and Unrefined and also Hexane free, these are all things I like to see when I am buying carriers oils. I usually feel a little iffy about oils that claim to be organic without an official seal. This Castor oil comes from India and is bottled in the USA. I do try to also try to buy from companies that produce their products in the USA. So I'm taking a leap of faith with this, I don't plan on ingesting it though.

Castor Oil has a lot of interesting uses, if you look on pinterest you will find a lot of pins for using castor oil for helping your thinning hair grow or making your lashes or eyebrows longer or thicker.
Castor oil also has anti fungal properties and could be used to cure things like athlete's foot. It can also be used as a laxative, but I wont be trying that with this one. When I was looking for other uses for castor oil I read that it can help you sleep better at night but that if your only looking for 8 hrs of sleep it's probably best not to use it for that.  It could make you groggy, I would be really interested in trying this out since I suffer horribly from insomnia.

Castor oil is also great for using as a carrier oil for massaging, especially for sore muscles and joints. It has a great many uses really and I look forward to trying some of these's and sharing my experience with you.
