Tween Subscription Review : Boodle Box 1

by - August 29, 2017

We got a new box in the mail! The September boodle box! My daughter has been waiting so anxiously for this box to arrive. I think she's caught the subscription box bug like her mama. She was gifted a subscription of this from her doting Grandfather. These boxes ship the last week of the previous month so you get your boodle box before or by the 1st of the box month.

The Boodle Box is a monthly subscription box for tweens and teens, It's the perfect box if you have a little fashionista at home. They offer two boxes, Boodle One for ages 6-11 and Boodle Two for 12+.  They start out at
  • 34.99 for a one time gift + $6 shipping
  • 30.99 for a 3 month subscription + $6 Shipping
  • 25.99 for a 6 month subscription  + $6 Shipping
  • 21.99 for a 12 month subscription + Free Shipping
Unlike most boxes when you sign up for a 12 month subscription you do not have to pay it all up front, you are just promising to keep your subscription going that long. If you select 12 months and want to cancel before the 12 months is up, there will be a $19.99 cancellation fee and you will have to cancel before the 1st of the month. If you do not want to be charged for another box.
My daughter has been begging for a subscription box so she was especially excited when we ordered this one for her. The boodle box is filled with accessories and beauty products that are age appropriate.

You can view my daughter unboxing her September Boodle Box Here:

This month's theme was Milk & Cookies! Which is perfect since school is back in session and what kid doesn't love coming home to a plate of cookies and a nice cold glass of almond milk.

First thing out was a Cow Hand Cream found at Jean Pierre Cosmetics 1.05oz  This retails for 12.99.
This is the most udderly adorable container of hand cream i've ever seen. It smells deliciously of Vanilla. I couldn't find this at Jean Pierre Cosmetics or anywhere else. I did see something similar from a korean beauty box for about $7. This hand cream is really milky and feels really silky on your skin. It absorbs really well and doesn't feel greasy at all.

The next thing was just an extra treat which was an oreo dip and go snack from Nabisco. Which was perfect for their theme of milk and cookies, It's the chocolate cookie part of an oreo that you can dunk into cream. My daughter ate these right away so i didn't get a picture. Do you like to dunk your Oreos or do you twist and lick? Let me know in the comments below.

Next was a  Cow Print Headband found on etsy that retails for $7.00
There are a few retailers on etsy that sell these from about $5 - $8.5 + shipping. This is a really cute non-slip headband. My daughter likes it and says she will wear it during her P.E. class.

Beaded Tassel Bracelet Duo Boodles of Bracelets: Children's Literacy Retail for $19.99
This bracelet is part of Boodles of Bracelets Program which will feature a new bracelet in every months box and the proceeds will be donated to a designated charity each quarter. This is the third bracelet of a trio of bracelets for Children's Literacy. This is a cute little adjustable tassel bracelet. It's black, gold, grey, and white. My daughter is excited to be getting a new bracelet every month, she loves getting jewlery. International Literacy Day is Friday, September 8th. I couldn't find a store for Forkeyps but they have an instagram page but they've yet to post to it. @forkeyps

This Magic Sequin Pouch found at Fashion Angels Retails for $4.49 &
Cow Print Pencils found on Etsy Retail for $1.99
My daughter loves this Magic Sequin Pouch. I think it's her favorite thing out of the box. She's been eyeballing a pillow just like this at walmart lately, so this pouch was a big hit with her. The cow pencils were a nice touch too since she can use all the pencils she can get with school starting.

The last thing in her box was this Sweet Cookie Bath Bomb from Swanky Sweet Pea Retail $4.65
This is an adorable cookie bath bomb that my daughter looks forward to dunking into her next bath. This shop has the cutest sweets and bakery inspired bath bombs, we just may have to order some more or hope that she gets more in future boodle boxes.

Everything in the box retails for a total of $50+ which is more than was paid for the box. I'd say the boodle box is definitely worth trying if you have a girly girl at home. We are not disappointed one bit with this box and can't wait to see what comes next month! What do you think of the boodle box?
